Master of Ceremonies: Shanti Wong comes with an extensive career profile and has most recently worked as an education consultant with schools, community agencies, local government and educational organisations.
About the North West Melbourne Regional Information Strategy
The vision of the Information Strategy is that young people with disabilities and their families will have consistent and convenient access to careers information in order for them to make informed decisions that will enable them to participate in their communities fully.
The Information Strategy aims to support a consistent approach and standards to make careers information accessible to young people with disabilities and their families, by making it available in a timely manner, in a range of places and in a range of formats.
About the event:
This forum will showcase the work, development and progress of the North West Melbourne Regional Strategy on Information across the region. The event will bring together cross sector organisations for a community conversation on how we can work together to support access to careers information for young people with disabilities and their families.
- Improve access to information for young people with disability on educational pathways and employment opportunities.
- Engage more stakeholders in a coordinated effort.
- Participate in facilitate workshops including how to use the Self Assessment Tool (SAT).
- Launch the report and recommendations.
Who should attend? Specialist School staff, community services, Local Government representatives, Further Education and Training Providers and industry and business.
